New measure has recently been taken by Dubai which restricted tourist visa and requires sending the booking which contains QR codes of the hotel and the return ticket during the visa application process. As it applies to both Tourist and Visit visas this change will help to bring both the processes and compliance up to date. Although the new rules make it easier to process the applications, it has caused some forms to take time to be processed.

The Dubai emigration department has intensified measures that have to be fulfilled when applying for a tourist visa; when entering the country, one has to show a document with a QR code that confirms the hotel accommodation as well as a copy of the return ticket. The travel agencies have been advised to accompany the applications with these documents otherwise application may be subject to delay.
New Rules for Tourist Visa Applications
The new changes are that the hotel booking documents shall be included as mandatory, and return tickets also must be included with the documents to be uploaded to the emigration department at the time of application. While only travel agencies can apply for the tourist visa, the visit visa can be issued to a trading company, or an individual or a family. Nevertheless, the same rules apply to both types of visas available for obtaining by citizens of other countries.
Financial Proof Requirement
Furthermore, credit or debit cards used by the applicants must have enough financial resource in them. Currently the rates are 5,000 Dirhams corresponding to two months visa and 3,000 Dirhams for a visa of three months only.
Impact on Travelers
Many applicants have been powerless to produce these documents leading to delays in processing. Before, passengers had to present hotel bookings and return tickets if demanded by the emigration officers at the airports.
These rules, effective for Pakistanis and several African countries are intend to ease the process and check for compliance. Still, the public has not received clear information on whether they have to submit similar documents every time they apply for visit visas for their families in UAE when they are retained expatriates in the country.
Travelers who would wish to visit the city need to pay particular attention to avoid getting stuck in the city during events that may disrupt travel options as stressed by the new policies. The new measures are important in preparing travelers who intend to travel to Dubai.
