The skyline of Dubai was not only shining with lights but also with hope when Pakistani musicians united in Umeed 2025—An Evening of Hope, organized by The Citizens Foundation (TCF). The concert was a tribute to the power of music to create change and unite voices that were heard much further than the stage, in favor of education and opportunity for less-privileged children in Pakistan.

A Concert with a Cause
The event, held in Dubai, attracted more than a thousand fans, sharing their mission and love of music. The night started with Shae Gill, the Pasoori Girl of Pakistan, as her soulful performance was laced with orchestral and acoustic tunes to set the mood of an emotional night.
Following the pop sensation was Hassan Raheem, who gave them an energetic performance that made the crowd stand on their feet. It was a climax of the night when the brand ambassador of TCF, Faisal Kapadia, along with the co-founder of the legendary band Strings, came on stage with an emotional performance of a collection of old hits.
The best part of the performance was when the three artists jumped together to sing the favorite Strings songs, and the venue echoed with a feeling of unity and mission that was the very spirit of Umeed (hope).
Education That Changes Lives
The Citizens Foundation was established in 1995 and is now one of the most reputable nonprofits in Pakistan, with over 2,033 purpose-built schools that educate more than 300,000 students nationwide. Having active chapters in seven countries, including the UAE, TCF still proves that education is the strongest weapon of social change.

TCF co-founder Mushtaq Chhapra said, I have witnessed children in the most difficult communities become doctors and teachers. All they needed was a chance. That’s what “umeed” means to me.”
Bringing the Next Generation In
In the case of Ahsan Saleem, the chairman of the TCF Board, Umeed 2025 was all about involving the next generation. He said that we were attracted to younger audiences, and more than 1,300 youths attended this year.
Sameena Ahmed, the organizer of the event, further added that having Gen Z icons like Hassan Raheem was an amazing buzz. It is motivating to note how TCF has progressed so far; 21 of our students got into IBA last year alone.
Fans with a Purpose
Numerous concert attendees came to listen to music, yet with a renewed feeling for the cause.
Educating children is what makes the music of Hassan Raheem more meaningful to Anika Niazi, who went to the concert with her husband and who always liked his music.

The Saudi Arabian sisters, Momina, Hurriya, and Javeriya Malik, flew in to attend the show. “We’ve supported TCF for years. It is very inspiring to see alumni such as Kainat Ansari, who selected Harvard then.
The most accurate view on that was made by Dubai residents Muhammad Faizan and Ali Shahid: We attend numerous concerts, but this one was different. We were enjoying and benefiting from a real cause.
Passing on Hope
When Faisal Kapadia gave his final performance, the crowd moved in unison, as they are not only music lovers but also believers in change.
Umeed 2025 was not an ordinary concert; it was a movement, and that is the evidence that when music has a mission, hope can only become stronger.
