For many expats living in Dubai, renewing their UAE residence visa has often meant contending with long queues, inconvenient scheduling, and missed work hours for mandatory medical examinations. But those days are finally over!

UAE Residence Visa

VFS Global, a leading UAE residence visa application service provider, has launched a game-changing doorstep service that allows you to renew your visa without ever stepping foot in a designated medical center.

UAE Residence Visa: Goodbye Waiting Rooms, Hello Convenience

Anyone who’s ever attempted to extend their UAE residence visa in Dubai knows the struggle. Between long queues, unpredictable wait times, and the need to schedule the exam during working hours, the process could be a major hassle.

The new doorstep service eliminates these hurdles entirely. Now, you can book your medical examination appointment from the comfort of your own home through the VFS Global website. This translates to significant savings on time, stress, and potentially even lost wages.

What You Need to Know: Documents and Fees

To take advantage of the doorstep medical service, you’ll need to have the following documents readily available:

  • A copy of your valid passport
  • A copy of your valid residence permit/visa
  • A recent passport-sized photo with a white background
  • A copy of your valid Emirates ID

There is a premium attached to the convenience of the doorstep service. The doorstep examination itself costs AED 426.15. When you factor in the government fee for a category A medical test, form filling fees, and the VFS service charge, the total cost comes to AED 850.01.

Category A Only: Who Can Use the Doorstep Service?

It’s important to note that this service is currently only available to holders of Category A UAE residence visas. These UAE residence visas are typically issued to foreign employees with a bachelor’s degree or higher qualification.

If your UAE residence visa falls under a different category, you can still utilize VFS Global’s medical examination services at their approved centers located in Ibn Battuta Mall and Dragon Mart 2.

A Valuable Addition for Expats in Dubai

Atul Marwah, CEO for medical services and special projects at VFS Global, sees this new service as a significant benefit for expats in Dubai. He emphasizes that “this initiative aligns perfectly with VFS Global’s commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences and reflects the EHS’ vision for a more accessible and convenient healthcare system.”

Marwah believes the doorstep medical service will be a valuable addition for expat residents not just in Dubai, but potentially across other emirates as well, streamlining the UAE residence visa renewal process for a large number of individuals.

The Future of Convenience

The launch of this doorstep medical service marks a significant step towards a more user-friendly UAE residence visa renewal process in Dubai. It’s a testament to the ongoing efforts to make essential services more accessible and convenient for expats living and working in the UAE.

So, if you’re a Category A UAE residence visa holder in Dubai and dreading your upcoming visa renewal, fret no more! With VFS Global’s doorstep medical service, you can now renew your visa with ease and complete comfort, all from the privacy of your own home.
