Team India has made it to the final of the Champions Trophy 2025 after defeating Australia by four wickets in the semi-finals and entered the title match of the third consecutive ICC tournament. This is the third consecutive time that India has been successful in making it to the title match of the limited overs format ICC tournament. India had earlier made it to the finals of the 2023 ODI World Cup, 2024 T20 World Cup and now it has also been successful in reaching the final match of the 2025 Champions Trophy.

After Virat Kohli’s brilliant innings, India defeated Australia and made it to the final of the Champions Trophy. With this, India has also avenged its defeat in the final of the 2023 ODI World Cup against Australia. The Indian team has reached the final while remaining undefeated in the tournament. This is the third consecutive time that India has managed to make it to the title match of the limited overs format ICC tournament. India had earlier made it to the finals of the 2023 ODI World Cup, 2024 T20 World Cup and now 2025 Champions Trophy.
In this match, Australia captain Steve Smith decided to bat first and scored 264 runs in 49.3 overs. While chasing the target, Kohli once again proved to be the chase master and scored 84 runs with the help of five fours in 98 balls, with the help of which India won the match by scoring 267 runs for six wickets in 48.1 overs. Chasing the target, India did not have a good start and lost two wickets for 43 runs. After this, Kohli along with Shreyas Iyer shared a 91-run partnership for the third wicket and took charge of India.

Shreyas, however, missed out on a half-century and was dismissed after scoring 45 runs with the help of three fours in 62 balls. Despite Shreyas’ dismissal, Kohli remained at the crease and took India close to victory. Kohli was moving towards a century, but lost his wicket while trying to play a big shot on Adam Zampa’s ball. After Kohli’s dismissal, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya took charge. Hardik batted aggressively and brought India very close to victory. When the team needed to score six runs to win, Hardik got out while trying to play a big shot.

Hardik was out after scoring 28 runs with the help of one four and three sixes in 24 balls. After Hardik’s dismissal, KL Rahul hit a six off Maxwell’s ball to give the team victory. With this, India has reached the final of the Champions Trophy for the third consecutive time. Earlier, the team was successful in reaching the title match of the Champions Trophy in 2013 and 2017 as well. Rahul returned unbeaten after scoring 42 runs with the help of two fours and two sixes in 34 balls, while Jadeja also remained unbeaten after scoring two runs.
