In 2028, Dubai to launch Therme Dubai as the world’s largest wellbeing resort. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum works to establish Dubai as the premier destination for living work and tourism according to his goal as the UAE Vice President and Prime Minister. Enterprise approval from Crown Prince of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum will lead to the redefinition of wellbeing tourism.

Therme Dubai will establish its location within Zabeel Park while stretching across 500,000 square feet at 100 meters in height. The project comes with both healthcare and leisure services and entertainment spaces aimed at drawing visitors totaling up to 1.7 million annually. As part of their partnership with international leader Therme Group the development at an estimated $544 million (AED 2 billion) cost will be constructed.
The resort will have special wellness areas composed of a family-friendly child area alongside spaces for adult relaxation as well as restoration facilities. The resort features three main attractions which include Michelin-star dining and 18-metre waterfalls and the world’s largest indoor botanical garden. The project design places sustainability at its core through water recycling achieving 90% and using clean energy to satisfy 80% of cooling requirements.
The Therme Dubai will establish Dubai as a premier wellness destination thus reinforcing the city’s dedication to both sustainability and better living standards. The ambitious Therme Dubai project received an update from His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer to HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum during a recent meeting.

The resort will achieve alignment with Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan goals to create health-focused communities that enhance the quality of life for both residents and guests. The project aims to create a wholesome environment through enhanced competitiveness that will attract international businesses and foreign investments.
The medical tourism sector of Dubai will gain traction due to Therme Dubai’s wellness facilities and healthcare programs and recreational possibilities. The resort presents multiple health and wellness services alongside comprehensive programs devoted to achieving physical and mental balance in life. The strategy intends to serve visitors who want comprehensive wellness experiences and improve the quality of live for local inhabitants.
The resort operates a sustainable model through its water recycling system that reaches 90% of thermal pool water and utilizes clean energy to meet 80% of its cooling needs. The facility boasts the largest indoor botanical garden in the world that both helps species diversity thrive and displays more than 200 international plant species.

The infrastructure will break up into three functional areas that support guests through various experiences: Play Zone contains family activities followed by Relax Zone with relaxation pools and steam rooms and adult mineral water therapies before the Restore Zone which offers relaxation through thermal pools, saunas, and other wellness treatments.
