A 34-year-old Indian Engineer Alen TJ, who is a regular participant of the promotion for the past three years won $1-million in the Dubai Duty Free (DDF) Millennium Millionaire draw. A Dominican expat in the UAE, Jasem Fathi gained the chance to win a Mercedes Benz GLS 450 4M car. At the same time, a 40 year old Pradhul Divakar an Indian expatriate in Dubai emerged the lucky winner of BMW R 1250 R motorbike. Last but not the least the final contest winner was another Indian living in Dubai, Aji Balakrishnan, who was presented an Indian Scout Bobber motorbike.
The latest Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draws held on Wednesday at the Dubai International Airport saw an Indian National, Alen TJ win $1 million. Four other winners will also take home luxury vehicles. The 34-years- old expatriate has been residing in the Dubai since 2013 who had purchased the ticket (487) through the online platform on November 8. With this win, 240 more Indians have won the prestigious Dubai Duty Free top prize.
Alen, a chief engineer for Jebel Ali Resort & Hotel, has been frequently purchasing tickets of Dubai Duty Free. “Thank you, Dubai Duty Free. By doing all these things, you have given many people, including myself a wonderful opportunity to transform our lives into prosperities,” he said.
After the draw of the Millennium Millionaire, the draw for the Finest Surprise took place for three cars. Dominican expatriate, Jasem Fathi possesses the Merced Benz GLS 450 4M Obsidian Black car after winning from the Finest Surprise Series 1898 with ticket number 1110. He bought it on November 9 from Dubai Duty Free Finest Counter at the Concourse B.

Fathi who is the first Dominican National to have clinched the Finest Surprise promotion since 1989 could not be reached. On his part Pradhul Divakar, a forty-year-old Indian national residing in Dubai got a BMW R 1250 R (Triple Black) motorbike using a ticket number 754 from Finest Surprise Series 603 which he bought online on November 7.
Originally from India, Divakar, a resident of Dubai for 14 years, has been participating in the Dubai Duty Free promotion for a few months now His family consists of his wife and two daughters; he works as an IT application manager for an oil and gas company in Sharjah. “I have started playing only a few months ago, so it was quite a surprise to win this early although maybe I have quite a bit of luck with me. I must thank you, Dubai Duty Free!” he said.
Aji Balakrishnan, a 52 years old Indian man living in Dubai bought a ticket on the 9th of November in Public Shop of Dubai International Airport from the Finest Surprise Series 604 and got an Indian Scout Bobber (Black Smoke) motorbike with the ticketing number 768.
Balakrishnan has been living in Dubai for 13 years and has been participating in the DDF promotion frequently and is a father of one and is a security officer of Transguard group LLC providing its services in Dubai Airport. “Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise as well as the Millennium Millionaire is such as wonderful platform giving this is an opportunity to win amazing prices.” he said.
