Duck & Waffle in Dubai
While the London original boasts a sky-high location, the Dubai outpost will occupy a spacious 10,000-square-foot space, offering a different yet equally captivating dining experience. The restaurant will cater to all-day cravings, serving breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner, and late-night bites. Although the London branch is famous for its 24/7 operation, details about Dubai’s opening hours are still under wraps. However, the promise of a special after-hours menu hints at extended dining options for those seeking a post-party feast.
At the core of Duck & Waffle’s menu is its signature dish, the eponymous Duck & Waffle. This delectable creation features a crispy duck leg confit, a fried duck egg, and a drizzle of mustard maple syrup, a flavor combination that has become synonymous with the restaurant. Other menu highlights include the indulgent foie gras crème brûlée, the unique spicy ox cheek doughnut, and the classic comfort food of whole roasted chicken with ratte potatoes, wild mushrooms, and truffle. Chef Jeremy Besson, previously associated with Chef Daniel Boulud, will bring his expertise to Dubai, introducing a robata grill to the menu, adding another dimension to the dining experience.
Duck & Waffle Dubai promises to be a visual spectacle as well, with a striking interior design featuring a central radiant dome, a perforated metal tree surrounded by greenery, and a greenhouse dining area. The restaurant will also boast a 360-degree, walk-around “chef’s bar” where guests can witness the culinary artistry firsthand while enjoying expertly crafted cocktails.
As the opening date approaches, anticipation for Duck & Waffle Dubai continues to build. The restaurant’s arrival is expected to add a new dimension to Dubai’s already thriving culinary scene, offering both locals and visitors a taste of London’s iconic dining experience.
