Atlantis Dubai is gearing up to roll out a series of major upgrades across its resorts, dining venues, pools, waterpark, and retail spaces. This latest investment programme is focused on improving the overall guest experience while adding fresh ways to dine, relax, shop, and spend time at the destination.
These changes touch both Atlantis, The Palm, and Atlantis The Royal, with several well-known venues getting upgraded or completely redesigned. New additions include The Garden Bar at Atlantis The Royal and Poseidon’s Village at Aquaventure World, while Plato’s Lounge, Ossiano, Cloud 22, and the Royal Pool are all set for improvements too.
Kym Barter, Managing Director of Atlantis Dubai, said the destination has always focused on continuous evolution. According to Barter, these latest enhancements reflect the brand’s plans to keep investing in the destination and building experiences with guests firmly at the centre of every decision.
Plato’s Lounge At Atlantis, The Palm Gets A Bigger Makeover
One of the key changes at Atlantis, The Palm, will be the expansion of Plato’s Lounge. The popular lounge will extend into the resort’s main lobby and get a new terrace balcony offering views out over the Dubai skyline.
This redesigned space will have more than double its original seating capacity. The larger lounge should give guests a lot more room to relax, dine, and enjoy coffee or afternoon tea while taking in the resort’s distinctive water features.
Accessibility is being addressed too as part of the upgrade. A new ramped pathway will replace the existing stairs, and guest circulation through the area is being reconfigured for a smoother flow.
This extension is scheduled to open in October 2026 and will also feature a new cascading water feature. The Palm Pool is also part of the wider series of upgrades happening at the resort.
Ossiano To Undergo A Comprehensive Refurbishment
Atlantis Dubai’s acclaimed underwater restaurant Ossiano will also get a major refurbishment. This one-MICHELIN-starred dining destination is known for its underwater setting, where diners get to watch marine life while enjoying its fine-dining offering.

The refurbishment aims to elevate the overall dining environment while holding onto the distinctive character that makes Ossiano so different from a conventional restaurant. This updated setting should create an even more immersive experience for guests.
These changes fit into Atlantis Dubai’s wider investment in its food and beverage portfolio. Rather than simply piling on new restaurants, the resort is also refreshing established venues to improve their surroundings and the overall guest experience.
The Garden Bar Is Coming To Atlantis The Royal
At Atlantis The Royal, one of the most notable new additions will be The Garden Bar. This new open-air lounge is designed to expand the resort’s food and beverage offering while giving guests a relaxed outdoor setting surrounded by landscaped gardens.
The venue will boost outdoor seating capacity and offer panoramic views across the resort, planned as a social space that works just as well during the day as it does in the evening.
This addition gives Atlantis The Royal another outdoor setting for guests looking to spend time away from the main hotel spaces. The landscaped surroundings and open-air design should form a central part of the venue’s atmosphere.
Cloud 22 To Add Around 40 More Sunbeds
The popular Cloud 22 pool venue is also being reconfigured, with changes aimed at making better use of the existing space and creating more opportunities for guests to enjoy views of Palm Jumeirah and the Arabian Gulf.
As part of this redesign, The Lotus Bar will move to the opposite side of the venue. The space it currently occupies will be converted into a larger sunbed deck.
This expanded area will fit approximately 40 additional sunbeds, boosting poolside lounging capacity. The new layout will also open up additional vantage points across Palm Jumeirah and the Arabian Gulf.
Royal Pool To Get New Family Facilities
The Royal Pool at Atlantis The Royal is also getting upgrades aimed at improving its leisure facilities, including new family-focused amenities and additional sunbeds.
Among the planned additions are air-conditioned cabanas and in-pool loungers, giving families and guests spending extended time around the pool a lot more options to choose from.
This Royal Pool upgrade sits alongside the changes happening at Cloud 22 and The Garden Bar, giving Atlantis The Royal a broader refresh across its outdoor leisure and food and beverage spaces.
Aquaventure World To Welcome Poseidon’s Village
Aquaventure World is also going through extensive improvements as part of this investment programme. One of the biggest additions will be Poseidon’s Village, a new themed dining destination taking over the space previously occupied by Barracudas.
Poseidon’s Village will become the waterpark’s largest indoor dining destination, with room for almost 400 guests indoors and nearly 300 outdoors. That significantly increases the dining space available within Aquaventure World.
The restaurant will feature self-service ordering kiosks and options for ordering while guests are lounging in the sunbathing areas. Its menu is planned to include salad bowls, vegan choices, a loaded hot dog bar, and oven-baked pizzas.
Families will also get an updated kids’ menu to choose from. This fully themed setting is designed to give visitors a proper dedicated place to eat and relax during their time at the waterpark.

River Rapids And The Wider Waterpark Are Being Refurbished
Dining is not the only thing getting upgraded at Aquaventure World. River Rapids is being fully refurbished and resurfaced as part of the wider park upgrade.
Restoration, painting, and landscaping work are also underway across the waterpark, all aimed at refreshing the wider environment and keeping the spaces visitors use in top shape.
This work forms part of Atlantis Dubai’s broader investment in leisure facilities, covering both individual attractions and the overall look and feel of Aquaventure World.
Atlantis Dubai Expands Its Fashion And Lifestyle Retail Offering
These upgrades stretch beyond accommodation, dining, and leisure too, with Atlantis Dubai also expanding its fashion and lifestyle retail portfolio.
At Atlantis The Royal, luxury fashion and lifestyle brands ChloƩ and Brunello Cucinelli have joined the retail lineup, with Zimmermann also planned as a future addition.
At Atlantis, The Palm, LEGO has joined the retail mix, adding another family-focused shopping option to the resort. These additions are designed to strengthen Atlantis Dubai’s position as a destination that blends hospitality with fashion, design, shopping, and entertainment.
Between new venues, refurbished restaurants, expanded pool facilities, and additional retail brands, this latest programme touches nearly every part of the Atlantis Dubai experience. These changes are rolling out across Atlantis, The Palm, Atlantis The Royal, and Aquaventure World as the destination continues developing its guest offering.
