World Tennis League Announced an Impressive Roster of Athletes for Season 3

The third edition of the World Tennis League has announced the participation of the biggest stars for the tournament that will be held in the brand new Etihad Arena starting from December 19 till December 22, 2024.

The list of top talent includes two Olympic champions, five Grand Slam title holders, six out of the top 12 men’s singles players, and six out of the top 10 women’s singles players to grace the stage of the Etihad Arena, with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC), Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT), and Miral ready to present ‘The Greatest Show on Court’.

The players joining the event for the first time include the Wimbledon Singles champion, Barbora Krejčíková of the Women’s World Tennis Association ranking number 10, Women doubles Gold medalist of Paris 2024, Jasmine Paolini of the Women’s World Tennis Association ranking number 5.

Aryna Sabalenka (Women World No. 2) would be the latest addition playing in WTL after her recent US Open win, joining Iga Świątek, Women World No.1 who clinched the Bronze Medal for Poland in Paris 2024 Olympics and third consecutive French Open Title this year.

The current rosters also highlight the participation of leading female players: Women’s Doubles Paris 2024 Silver Medalist Mirra Andreeva (Women’s World No. 22); Elena Rybakina (Women’s World No. 4); Paula Badosa (Women’s World No. 19); and Caroline Garcia (Women’s World No. 36).

The other contenders at the competition will also be present at the WTL 2023 including Daniil Medvedev (Men’s World No. 5), Andrey Rublev (Men’s World No. 6), Taylor Fritz (Men’s World No. 7), Hubert Hurkacz (Men’s World no. 8) and Casper Ruud (Men’s World No. 9).

The other male stars include a Greek Stefanos Telitispas (Men’s World No. 12), Indian Sumit Nagal (Men’s World No. 83). And an Australian Nick Kyrgios, who will be competing in this year’s one of the biggest sporting event held in Abu Dhabi.

The previous WTL was equally successful with more than 20,000 global participants in the audience, and the live broadcast was in more than 125 countries. It also showcased prominent musicians entertaining people in the Yas Island.
