After winning the toss, New Zealand batted first in the Champions Trophy final and scored 251 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 50 overs. Openers Will Young and Rachin Ravindra gave a good start to the New Zealand team, who came to bat first. There was a partnership of 57 runs between the two.
