Shah recognised the shortcomings and challenges in the process when expressing appreciations for the visit as “productive and inspiring.” “While I am encouraged by what I have observed, I am aware that this marks only the beginning. The journey to take cricket to unparalleled heights begins now, and I am confident that, together, we will achieve this vision.”
Taking stock of Jay Shah’s self-made journey to the ICC Board, ICC Deputy Chair Imran Khwaja praised him for having a visionary outlook for the future of the game. “Speaking on behalf of the Board, I extend a warm welcome to Mr Jay Shah in his new role and express our excitement about his tenure,” Khwaja said.
