As part of its customer service offerings, Emirates Airline (EK) has added 4 mobile ice cream carts across Dubai International Airport (DXB) for the busier Eid Al Adha departure period. Since June 1st to 9th is expected to be very busy for flights, the airline encourages travellers to use remote check-in services to have a hassle-free travel experience that makes their journeys smoother.
Between June 6 and 20 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, from 12 pm to 6 pm, you can find four eye-catching carts offering complementary and free ice creams treats at Terminal 3 to all the passengers. Since the holiday season brings heavy traffic, particularly during June 1–9, Emirates advises customers to check in using the convenient online methods for a comfortable trip.
Any passengers departing or arriving at Dubai International (DXB) on Friday, Saturday or Sunday between 12 pm and 6 pm are given a free Emirates ice cream for their whole family. During the period from June 6 to June 20, you can enjoy mango, chocolate and strawberry ice cream at the carts around the Departures zones along with passion fruit and raspberry sorbet.
Emirates suggests customers arrive at the airport 3 hours before their flight is scheduled to depart. It is predicted that there will be higher traffic on nearby roads, lines at immigration may grow and movement between terminals can slow down at peak hours. Travelers have to handle all immigration formalities 1.5 hours ahead of departure and show up at the gate a full hour before take-off.
Advanced Check-In Options
Luggage can be dropped at the airport with Emirates 12 or 24 hours before your flight, depending on the destination. When the departure hour draws near, passengers go to the immigration areas in the airport.
The Emirates City Check-in and Travel Store in ICD Brookfield Place, Dubai International Financial Centre, is available from 8 am to 10 pm every day.
On the airport’s business side, travelers can use this facility to leave their bags ahead of their flight through self-check-in kiosks or with the help of an agent or Sara, the world’s first robotic check-in assistant.
Home Check-In
If you live in Dubai or Sharjah with Emirates (EK), special agents will come to your home, hotel or place of business to assist with check-in and ensure your luggage is transported directly to your flight. Booking this service using your mobile, at least a day in advance, is required if you are a First Class passenger or a Platinum Skywards member.
Airport Transportation
Between Concourse A and Concourse B in Terminal 3, Emirates (EK) provides complimentary trains for passengers. Every 20 minutes, shuttle buses run between Concourses A & C, 24 hours a day, with pickups at the Central Connection Desk on Arrival Level in Concourse A and at Connection E on the Duty Free Level in Concourse C.
Emirates App
With the Emirates app, you can handle your flight details in detail. Examples of this are making changes to your booking, downloading a digital boarding pass, getting reminders about your flight, learning about meal options and pre-ordering a hot meal if you book in Business Class, arranging chauffeur service drop-off and selecting the entertainment you want while on board. You are allowed to check in for your flight on the internet or app 48 hours ahead of time.
Baggage Compliance
Power banks must be kept in hand baggage when flying with Emirates (EK). A bag containing a removable battery which fits the requirements for cabin baggage, should be powered off during the entire trip.
