Emirates: Island Escape Takes Flight in September

Get ready to set foot on the fourth-largest island in the world! The inaugural flight takes off from Dubai on September 3rd, 2024, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Madagascar’s tourism industry. With four flights scheduled weekly, globetrotters will have ample opportunity to discover the wonders of Madagascar.

Convenient Connections via the Seychelles

The Emirates flights will operate with a brief stopover in the Seychelles, offering a seamless connection between Dubai and Madagascar’s capital city, Antananarivo (TNR). Departing Dubai at 8:55 am, you’ll touch down in the Seychelles’ Mahe Island by 1:35 pm. After a short break, the journey continues to Antananarivo, arriving at its final destination at 4:50 pm.

The return trip follows a similar pattern, departing Antananarivo at 6:35 pm and arriving back in Dubai at 4:20 am the next day, with another stopover in the Seychelles.

Experience Luxury Travel with Emirates Boeing 777

Emirates is committed to providing a comfortable and luxurious travel experience. The Madagascar route will be serviced by their Boeing 777 aircraft, offering a range of seating options to suit every budget and travel style. Choose from 8 opulent First Class suites, 42 spacious Business Class seats, or unwind in one of the 310 generously-sized Economy Class seats.

Unlocking Madagascar’s Treasures

This new route promises to be a boon for Madagascar’s tourism sector. The island boasts a breathtaking landscape, with lush rainforests, pristine beaches, and a captivating biodiversity. For nature enthusiasts, Madagascar offers a treasure trove of experiences. Hike or trek through the verdant rainforests, embark on an adrenaline-pumping quad bike adventure, or feel the thrill of water sports like kitesurfing, scuba diving, and whale watching.

A Paradise for Wildlife Lovers and Foodies

Lemur lovers, rejoice! Madagascar is a haven for these fascinating primates. Visit Lemur’s Park and encounter nine different lemur species alongside a dazzling array of other wildlife. Foodies will also find plenty to tantalize their taste buds. Sample the island’s traditional cuisine, bursting with fresh, local produce, and discover the unique flavors of Madagascar.

Boosting Connectivity and Opportunity

This new route signifies a significant development for Madagascar. As Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim, explains, “Madagascar has historically been underserved, despite growing appetite from travellers for authentic ecotourism experiences.” The new flights will not only enhance connectivity but also create new business opportunities and introduce the world to the island’s hidden gems.

H.E Manambahoaka Valéry Ramonjavelo, Madagascar’s Minister of Transports and Meteorology, echoes this sentiment, highlighting the positive impact on tourism and the potential to showcase Madagascar’s cultural and natural wonders to a global audience.
