Dubai is gearing up to host the inaugural RailX Conference and Exhibition from May 31 to June 2, 2027. This three-day event will take place at Dubai World Trade Centre, focusing squarely on the future of rail, transport, and mobility.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the event, which will be held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE.
RailX Dubai 2027 to Bring Together Global Rail Industry
RailX Dubai is expected to draw more than 5,000 participants, over 60 exhibitors, and more than 70 speakers. The gathering will bring together government officials, policymakers, investors, decision-makers, industry leaders, and specialists from across the rail and mobility sectors.
This event is designed as a platform for discussing how rail networks can become more connected, efficient, and technology-driven. Participants will explore new ideas covering infrastructure, operations, investment, and passenger services.
‘Building the Future of Rail and Mobility’

Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA, said RailX Dubai would strengthen the emirate’s position as a link between East and West.
According to Al Tayer, the event will bring policymakers, investors, specialised companies, and industry leaders together to discuss key areas of rail development, including planning, financing, technology, operations, and customer service.
The conference also reflects Dubai’s wider push to develop advanced transport infrastructure and position the emirate as a global hub for future mobility solutions.

The RailX Dubai conference will be structured around five themes: Reach, Advance, Invest, Link, and X-Perience, which will guide discussions across different parts of the rail and mobility industry.
Technology will play a major role in the programme. Speakers are expected to discuss artificial intelligence, automation, predictive maintenance, digital twins, and cybersecurity, along with public-private partnerships and multimodal transport integration.
