Travelling along Oud Metha Road in Dubai is set to get a lot faster following the completion of a major road development project. The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the project’s completion on September 20, 2026. According to the RTA, the improvements have cut travel time along the route from 20 minutes down to just five. That is a 75 percent reduction, and it is expected to improve traffic movement through several important road connections in the area. Under the new standards, workers’ housing must provide a minimum sleeping area of 3.7 square metres per person.
