If your idea of a good night out is laughing until your cheeks hurt, mark your calendar. Kunal Kamra is returning to Dubai with a brand new solo show called “Standing Up.” The organisers say he’s coming back on popular demand, and the show is set for October 31, 2026, at Emirates Theatre in Jumeirah.
Kamra is known for offbeat comedy and sharp timing, turning everyday absurdities into jokes. This is a fresh show, so even if you’ve seen him before, you won’t be hearing old material.
Show Details at a Glance
Date: October 31, 2026
Venue: Emirates Theatre, Jumeirah
Gates open: 5:30 pm
Show starts: 6 pm
Age limit: 14 and above only
Language: Mostly Hindi, with parts in English
The 14+ rule is strict, so leave younger kids at home. And if you don’t speak Hindi, you can still follow along thanks to the English portions, but expect most of the jokes in Hindi.
Ticket Categories
There are two categories: GA Ground Floor and GA Balcony. Both are first come, first served, so there are no assigned seats. Arriving early gives you a better choice of where to sit.
Here’s something important to know before you book. The balcony is on the first floor, and the ground floor category has a few stairs leading to the auditorium. The venue has no lift. If anyone in your group has trouble with stairs, think carefully before buying tickets.
Tickets can’t be refunded, exchanged, or upgraded once booked, and the organizer’s decision is final. For any ticket problems, contact the ticketing website directly, and only there.
Venue Rules to Remember
The organizers have a few clear rules:
- No outside food or drinks in the auditorium, and that includes water
- Snacks and drinks sold at the venue are allowed, but only in the foyer
- No smoking or vaping anywhere on the premises
- No photos or videos once the show starts
So eat before you go, or plan to grab something in the foyer. And keep your phone in your pocket during the performance.
How to Get There
By car: Take Umm Suqeim Street, then Al Wasl Road. Turn right onto Al Thanya Street, then take another right to reach the venue. Paid RTA parking is available outside, but spaces are limited, so arrive early.
By public transport: Take MRed1 or MRed2 to Equiti Metro Station, then walk a short distance to the theatre.
By taxi: Taxis and ride hailing apps can take you straight there. This may be the easiest option if you’d rather avoid the parking hunt.
Tips for a Smooth Night
Aim to reach the venue when gates open at 5:30 pm. That gives you time to park, find your seat and settle in before the 6 pm start. Go with a group if you can, since comedy is always better with friends. And since the show falls on a Saturday evening, expect traffic around Jumeirah to be heavier than usual.
More Live Entertainment in Dubai
Dubai’s live scene is packed this season. If you enjoy music as much as comedy, you might want to read about Shaan’s All of Me tour at Coca-Cola Arena, which is also happening this October. Between the concerts, comedy nights, and festive events, there’s a lot to choose from.
Kunal Kamra’s “Standing Up” looks set to be a fun night for Hindi comedy fans in Dubai. Just remember the key points: it’s 14+ only, there’s no lift, tickets are non-refundable, and parking is limited. Plan, arrive early, and get ready to laugh.
