The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) has launched an instant international driving licence issuance service right at Dubai International Airport.
This new service lets UAE citizens and residents who hold a valid UAE driving licence get an international driving licence in around five minutes. It has been introduced in cooperation with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the Emirates Automobile and Touring Club, and the Amer Centre.
The whole initiative is designed to make travel-related government services faster and easier. Instead of visiting a separate service location before flying out, eligible passengers can now complete the process right there at Dubai International Airport.

This instant service is available at the Customer Happiness Centre in the Terminal 3 Arrivals area of Dubai International Airport. Per the announcement, the centre runs 24 hours a day, giving travellers access to the service whenever they need it.
