Salik operating as Dubai’s premier toll operator and smart mobility provider has formed a partnership with Parkonic to enable ticket-free automatic parking at 18 newly established facilities across Dubai and Sharjah. The expansion enables users to drive in and out of the park without stopping because their Salik account automatically deducts the fees by eliminating the requirement of QR codes or cash or paper tickets.

Salik to Launch New Parking Locations in Dubai and Sharjah

Parkonic stands as the UAE’s largest private parking operator which has declared that 18 new locations will activate their Salik integration across Dubai and Sharjah during this week. The parking facilities have integrated payment via Salik to provide users with automatic ticket-free services.

People can now experience fully hands-free parking by linking Salik’s payment services with Parkonic’s innovative smart parking solution. Users can employ the Parkonic app or scan a QR code at the site or merely drive in and out for automatic Salik account deduction if they did not make prior payment. According to Parkonic, the new payment system through Salik will not alter current parking rates yet it maintains a streamlined process for better user efficiency during payments.

New Private Parking Locations with Salik

According to Parkonic’s official Instagram account, the newly integrated locations include:

  • Union Coop Nad Al Hamar
  • Union Coop Al Twar
  • Union Coop Silicon Oasis
  • Union Coop Al Qouz
  • Union Coop Al Barsha
  • Union Coop Mankhool
  • Lulu Hypermarket Al Qusais
  • Marina Walk
  • West Palm Beach
  • The Beach JBR
  • Opus Tower
  • Azure Residence
  • Union Coop Umm Suqeim
  • Heera Beach
  • Park Islands
  • Palm Jumeirah
  • Museum of the Future
  • Al Qasba

The collaborative system permits drivers to enter their automobile and then exit without waiting at queues while the system deducts the payment from their account without needing printed tickets or barriers for access.

How It Works

  1. Users can simply enter and leave without needing tickets because payment automatically deducts from their account.
  2. The payment system of Parkonic allows users to connect through its app and QR code scanning or enables automatic debit from Salik accounts.
  3. Drivers experience no changes to the parking rates during this partnership since the payment methods differ from standard ones.

The statement from Parkonic describes this integration as providing real contactless parking convenience which eliminates queues along with other parking hassles.

The parking operation of Parkonic includes more than 150 locations throughout the UAE. The Palm Jumeirah and the Museum of the Future in Dubai along with The Beach at JBR and Saadiyat Beach in Abu Dhabi and Al Qasba in Sharjah have emerged as the leading parking locations in the UAE.

Salik Automatic Parking

Salik announced in 2024 that they would partner with Parkonic to link the eWallet system across all pages managed by Parkonic. This partnership announced in the previous year established a system that allowed Salik eWallet users to make payments across all connected parking facilities.
