According to local media, Vaishnav Krishnakumar, an 18-year-old Indian student and UAE Golden Visa recipient, tragically passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest during Diwali celebrations in Dubai. The first-year BBA marketing student at Middlesex University Dubai died suddenly at Dubai International Academic City and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

A Brilliant Student with Exceptional Achievements
Born and raised in Dubai to parents VG Krishnakumar and Vidhu Krishnakumar, Vaishnav Krishnakumar was known for his academic brilliance and leadership qualities. According to media reports, he scored 97.4% with full marks in marketing and entrepreneurship in CBSE Class 12, earning him a UAE Golden Visa for academic excellence.

He played a leading role in Model United Nations (MUN), serving as president and previously vice president of the MUN Club. During this time, he chaired several MUN committees and received the Best Delegate and Best Speaker awards. According to reports, Vaishnav was also the leader of the OIS Debating Society and the head of the School Council at GEMS Our Own Indian School, Dubai.
Family and Community Remember Him
According to reports, Vaishnav’s parents and younger sister, Vrishti Krishnakumar, are with him. His father has been working in Dubai for over 20 years. Relatives living in Chennithala, Alappuzha, Kerala, who are connected to the family, said that Vaishnav and his sister rarely visited India.

Middlesex University expressed condolences, saying that his “loss has deeply affected our community.” GEMS Our Own Indian School described him as kind, talented, and inspiring and postponed upcoming events in his memory.

As a UAE Golden Visa holder, Vaishnav was known for his outstanding achievements and leadership qualities. His untimely demise has deeply saddened his friends, family, and the Indian community in Dubai. The Forensic Department of Dubai Police is investigating to determine the cause of his heart attack.
