A Historical Moment for Indian Gastronomy
At the 2025 MICHELIN Guide Dubai award ceremony on May 22, Tresind Studio was given its third star, making it part of a distinguished group. Now, Waku Ghin and FZN by Bjorn Frantzen are the only two places in Dubai to have three Michelin stars. Foreign Indian restaurants have previously been awarded one or two stars, but Ponguwa is the first to achieve the top designation.
Chef Himanshu Saini was happy to receive the accolade. “Getting three Michelin stars proves how dedicated we are to showing the world what food can say through stories. Indian cuisine matters to us just as much today and we want to share it with everyone in a modern and motivating way, aiming for excellence.”
What Makes Tresind Studio So Special?
Located in a 20-seater roof terrace at The Palm Jumeirah, Tresind Studio offers guests a unique dinner that focuses on India’s variety of traditional dishes. All dishes celebrate local traditions, but are remade in a modern and artistic style. Michelin points out that Tresind Studio is famous for its limitless creativity and amazingly presented plates.

Since 2018, Studio has played off the success of Tresind and, now just in its fifth year, it has earned itself a second Michelin star. This third star shows that Dubai city is worth adding to your food travel list. With this honor, Indian cuisine is receiving the global attention it deserves for its richness and complexity, as it usually does not get center stage at the most prestigious restaurants.
Supported by Passion F&B
Tresind Studio is led by Bhupender Nath, whose vision has led to a new approach to Indian dining in the UAE and all over. Avatara and Carnival by Tresind, other brands from Passion F&B, are recognized throughout the region.
Commenting on the win, Mr. Nath said, “For Tresind Studio, receiving three Michelin stars is an important success and a cause for pride among Indian chefs everywhere. Over many years, focused dedication, high-quality leadership and an amazing team have made it possible.”
A Long List of Global Accolades

It has always made the top of many World’s 50 Best Restaurants lists and was just awarded the spot of #2 restaurant in the Middle East and North Africa.
