Abir Gulaal Music Launch: Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan, who ruled hearts in Kapoor & Sons and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, is making a grand comeback to Indian cinema and he will kick it off in style this Saturday, April 19 at Global Village. He will be joined by Vaani Kapoor and ace music director Amit Trivedi for the music launch of his upcoming romantic comedy Abir Gulaal.
Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is making a comeback to the Hindi film industry after 9 years. He will be seen romancing actress Vaani Kapoor in the upcoming Bollywood film Abir Gulaal. Directed by Aarti Bagri, the romantic drama is set to release in cinemas on May 9, 2025. After the teaser release, politician Raj Thackeray’s MNS protested against the screening of Abir Gulaal in Maharashtra.
Directed by Aarti S. Bagri, Abir Gulaal is a heartwarming love story set in London. The film features Abeer, a UK-based chef, played by Fawad Khan, and Gulaal, played by Vaani Kapoor – a woman with her own emotional torments. What starts off as a coincidence slowly turns into a deep, unexpected relationship, filled with tender moments, humour and the magic of second chances?
This is Fawad’s long-awaited return to Bollywood after almost a decade, and the buzz is real. The film, which is slated to release on May 9, also features an impressive supporting cast like Lisa Haydon, Farida Jalal, Soni Razdan, Parmeet Sethi and Rahul Vohra. Riddhi Dogra, who was last seen in The Sabarmati Report, is an integral part of Fawad and Vaani’s romantic drama.

Abir Gulaal Music Launch Will Be Held in Dubai
According to report, the makers of Abir Gulaal will promote the film as planned. They have reportedly decided to launch the film’s music at Dubai’s Global Village. The event is likely to take place on April 19, with the film’s main star cast in attendance. Amit Trivedi, who composed the soundtrack of Abir Gulaal, may perform live at the event.
“The team anticipated the risk of protests in India since Fawad came here. Dubai is the obvious choice for promotions. It is a neutral place, there is a good presence of the expatriate community here and Fawad is popular there. Music is an important aspect of Abir Gulaal. They wanted to go big on the music before launching the trailer,” said a source close to the film.

The music launch of Abir Gulaal will not be a ticketed event. It will be open to those who pay the entry fee for the Global Village in Dubai. The event is reportedly being organised as a music festival where Amit is expected to perform some tracks from the film. According to the organisers, the music launch event will take place at 8 pm on the main stage of the Global Village.
