Dubai introduces a futuristic program called ‘5000 Digital Talent’ aimed at overwriting 5,000 students in the Emirates to address digital competencies in emerging technologies that key the region’s digital economy. Supported by key affiliations and by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan, the program seeks at producing a qualified, innovation-oriented workforce for corresponding national change.

The Idea Behind ‘5000 Digital Talent’
Dubai is trying to go all out, if it wants to acquire the best talent and construct the emirate as a hub for digital transformation. A new initiative has been created out of the UAE artificial intelligence and digital economy office called ‘5000 Digital Talent’ that aims to ensure that 5,000 Emirati students are trained as technologically superior leaders for the new generation digital economy in five years.
Supported by H.H Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, this program supports the Dubai vision to advance the digital economy and transform the power of the nation’s youth.
Minister Omar Sultan Al Olama highlighted the UAE’s commitment to developing talent within the country by arming them with the tools and knowledge that can help foster change to build a new generation of the UAE. Likewise, Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, the Chairman of EHRDC noted on the academia-industry partnership and cooperation.
