Gautam Gambhir on ‘no handshake’ controversy: Indian cricket team captain Suryakumar Yadav on Sunday dedicated the big win against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 to the army personnel who showed bravery during Operation Sindoor. Gautam Gambhir also stated that he did not shake hands with Pakistani players and said that they wanted to show solidarity with the victims of the Pahalgam attack and their families.

The Indian team defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the Asia Cup match and registered their second consecutive victory. India defeated Pakistan with 25 balls to spare and registered their second consecutive win in the current tournament. In the match, captain Suryakumar Yadav hit a six to give the team victory.
After this, he returned to the pavilion. He did not shake hands with the Pakistani players. The rest of the players did the same. In this match, after winning the toss and batting first, Pakistan’s team scored 127 runs in 20 overs. In reply, India scored 131 runs for three wickets in 15.5 overs and won the match.
