Originally the tournament was being hosted by Pakistan, but now India’s matches will be held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai, making it a hybrid model. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had put pressure on the International Cricket Council (ICC) to find a solution after expressing its inability to travel to the neighbouring country due to security concerns.

Eventually, India’s matches were shifted to the UAE, with one semi-final also set to be held in Dubai. Moreover, if India progresses, the final will also be held in Dubai. Hence, India will play all their matches in Dubai and have set up their base in the city after landing on February 15 and going through two practice sessions so far.
The Men in Blue will begin their campaign against Bangladesh on February 20, followed by a much-anticipated match against Pakistan. Their group campaign will end with a match against New Zealand on March 2.
