Standing tall at over 150 meters within Zabeel Park, the Dubai Frame has been a major tourist attraction since its inauguration in 2018. The structure’s unique design, resembling a giant picture frame, offers visitors a panoramic view of both the historic and modern sides of Dubai, separated by the Dubai Creek. However, the Dubai Municipality has announced exciting plans to take this experience a step further.

As reported, the Dubai Frame is set for a significant makeover that will focus on showcasing Dubai’s futuristic vision. Ahmed Ibrahim Al Zarouni, Head of Public Parks and Recreational Facilities Department, unveiled these plans at the Arabian Travel Mart. Al Zarouni stated, “We will have a future of Dubai exhibition which will show visitors how the city will look 50 years in the future.” This exhibition will be housed on the ground floor of the Dubai Frame, offering visitors a chance to explore Dubai’s potential cityscape through interactive displays and innovative technologies.

The current Dubai Frame experience takes visitors on a historical and cultural tour, highlighting the vision of Dubai’s ruler, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. This tour culminates with a breathtaking ascent to the viewing platform, where a glass floor provides a thrilling perspective of the city below. While details about the new exhibition haven’t been revealed yet, it’s safe to say that visitors can expect a future-oriented experience unlike anything currently offered in Dubai.

The renovation is expected to be completed by the last quarter of 2025, with the attraction reopening to the public shortly after. The good news for tourists already planning a trip to Dubai is that the Dubai Frame will still be accessible during construction. Only a part of the mezzanine floor will be closed off, allowing visitors to continue enjoying the iconic views and the existing exhibits.

This futuristic makeover of the Dubai Frame signifies Dubai’s commitment to constant innovation and its vision for a remarkable future. The attraction is poised to become a must-visit destination not just for the awe-inspiring views but also for a chance to peek into the extraordinary world that Dubai aspires to create in the coming decades.

So, if you’re planning a trip to Dubai, keep an eye out for the reopening of the renovated Dubai Frame. This architectural marvel is about to transform into a portal to Dubai’s future, offering an experience that will leave you breathless and brimming with excitement for the innovations to come.
