President Sheikh Mohamed travelled on an Etihad Rail train from Abu Dhabi to Dubai ahead of the official launch of the railway’s new Dubai station. The journey took place as Al Yalayis Station prepared to begin passenger services. Etihad Rail is creating a direct connection between its Dubai Al Yalayis Station and the Dubai Metro network. The link will allow passengers arriving by inter-emirate train to continue their journey across Dubai using public transport. The connection is especially important as Etihad Rail begins passenger services from Dubai on September 30, 2026.
