A company that is aspiring to bring down the cost of space travel is aspiring to have a launch site in Dubai that will make travelers be able to view Burj Khalifa from space. Employees of Space Perspective described what the idea they have is.
“To be able to fly over Palm Island and go up and see the burst wave underneath and then to see all these familiar images, this has to be one of the most beautiful places to start from,” added Michael Savage, the chief executive of the company.
The Co-Founder and CEO of SpaceVIP Roman Chiporukha, a partner in this project later expressed that the company was confident it could move to this region. Some of the responses we have received have been from this part of the word such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia. If all goes well while looking for a right partner we are expecting to begin operations from here,” he said.
“If you want to go up under propulsion on a rocket, it takes training, and you’ve got 6Gs on your chest,” said Roman. “It consists of a pressurised capsule that travels to the stratosphere beneath a hydrogen balloon. You walk at a speed of 12 miles an hour as you travel to the unknown world of above. And says anyone who could ride an ordinary commercial plane could ride a spaceship down to the moon.”
Costing around 460,000 Dirhams, the company provides a six hours car ride. “It takes two hours to go up,” said Michael. The capsule features luxurious type of seats and the traveler will spend two hours at the edge of the space; he can take meal. Interestingly enough, there is a restroom here that will come in handy, should the need arise. We call it balloon with a view. And then you come down gently under the balloon.

There was also a description by Michael on how Roman went about to ensure that they hired a Michelin-starred chef. It was instrumental in fulfilling one of our core activities which was to launch the first Michelin star meal is space he said.
According to Roman, people covered more interest in partnership and ticket in the company’s side. “To date, ticket sales stand at 1,800 and we have 225 million tickets on order,” he said. Some of these are plain middle income earners and their families and so please don’t think that only the fake rich or the real tycoons will be benefiting from such offers. The youth, therefore, are saving as well as ensuring that they secure the kind of experience that they would like to.”
He said that some members are removing it from their savings account. “I know that many baby boomers who took that nest egg looked at their kids and said, hey you’re not going to get a half a million dollars because Mum and I are taking off into space. They bought them as a couple because they saw all these rockets and the Discovery and all of these go up in the 80s and 90s.”
