Dubai’s retail scene is about to get another major addition. Dubai Retail, part of Dubai Holding Asset Management, has just unveiled Skylight Mall, a brand-new super regional shopping and lifestyle destination set to open on Al Khail Road in 2027.
Once it opens, Skylight Mall will join Dubai Retail’s already impressive lineup of 58 malls and lifestyle destinations across the emirate, bringing retail, dining, entertainment, and everyday services together under a single roof.
360+ Stores Planned
The numbers behind this one are genuinely big. Skylight Mall will span 1.3 million square feet of gross leasable area and will be home to more than 360 stores.
Shoppers can expect a mix of retail, dining, and entertainment brands, though specific tenant names and attractions haven’t been revealed just yet, those details are expected to be announced closer to the opening.
Here’s a quick snapshot of what we know so far:
- Opening: 2027
- Location: Al Khail Road, Dubai
- Size: 1.3 million sq ft GLA
- Stores: More than 360
- Portfolio: Dubai Retail’s 58th mall and lifestyle destination
Skylight Mall Location: What to Know
Skylight Mall will sit along Al Khail Road, making it especially convenient for residents in Jumeirah Village Triangle (JVT), Jumeirah Islands, The Springs, and surrounding communities.
Its location also puts it within easy reach for visitors coming in from other parts of Dubai, so it’s not just a neighborhood mall; it’s shaping up to be a destination in its own right.
With this addition, Skylight Mall is set to become one of Dubai’s newest super regional malls, pushing Dubai Retail’s total portfolio to 58 malls and lifestyle destinations spread across the city.

A New Dubai Shopping Destination
Spanning 1.3 million square feet of gross leasable area, the mall is designed around interconnected spaces built for shopping, dining, and entertainment to flow naturally into one another.
According to Dubai Retail, the development will also feature expansive interiors and open areas, pointing toward a more spacious, airy layout rather than a typical packed-in mall feel.
Dubai Retail’s 58 Destinations
Once Skylight Mall opens its doors, it’ll bring Dubai Retail’s total portfolio up to 58 malls and lifestyle destinations across the emirate.
That portfolio already includes some of Dubai’s most recognizable names, think Palm Jumeirah Mall, Nad Al Sheba Mall, Ibn Battuta Mall, Dragon Mart, and The Outlet Village, along with popular lifestyle spots like Bluewaters, JBR, Souk Madinat Jumeirah, and Palm West Beach.
With Skylight Mall now added to that list, Dubai Retail continues to expand its footprint across the city, giving residents and visitors even more places to shop, eat, and spend their weekends.
