Continuing its commitment to active living and experience-driven tourism, Dubai has introduced a new project to promote active cycling in the emirate by linking nine key cycling routes within the city into a single network called Dubai Cycling Pass. The Cycling Pass, which will be launched as a part of the larger wellbeing and lifestyle program by Dubai, is expected to help cycling become more than a recreational experience that people partake in on the weekend and make it a daily form of exploring the city.
Considered to be a city of fitness, the emirate has embraced a new lifestyle of keeping fit by organizing events like the Dubai Fitness Challenge and international endurance events as part of exploring the city. In a formal sense, the Dubai Cycling Pass has been introduced in Dubai, and it has turned the pastime of cycling into an interactive urban adventure, as it invites people to be on two wheels and see various locations of the emirate via the bike, as opposed to riding one track one day or taking a ride on a weekend.

A Joint Push for Fitness, Tourism and Innovation
According to the reports, the program is a joint venture between the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), and the Dubai Sports Council. The entities are coming together to merge health, tourism, and digital innovation on a single platform, thus making a reliable and sustainable environment.

Having the slogan “From the Airport to the Track,” the Cycling Pass shows the desire of Dubai to make fitness a part of everyday life and provide visitors with a novel experience of exploring the city other than the classical places of interest. The project is helping Dubai enhance its status as a global wellness destination, officials said, and demonstrates the expanding cycle network in the emirate.
Official Launch at Nad Al Sheba
The launch of the Dubai Cycling Pass took place at the Nad Al Sheba Cycling Track, which is among the most popular cycling locations in the city. It was organized with the guidance of Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri in the presence of the senior government officials, community representatives, and cycling fans. The opening attracted a wide range of people, with citizens, residents, tourists, and professional cyclists among them, which highlights the universality of the initiative in the domain of age and fitness.
Nine Cycling Tracks Connected across Dubai
The core of the initiative is a chain of nine certified cycling tracks that allow a unique experience and are focused on varying levels of skills and preferences.
The routes include:
- Nad Al Sheba–Meydan, ideal for structured and professional rides
- Jumeirah Corniche, offering scenic coastal views
- Al Qudra–Saih Al Salam, suited for long-distance, open-road cycling
- Dubai Marina and Dubai Water Canal, showcasing urban landscapes
- Mushrif Park and Al Khawaneej, surrounded by green spaces
- Hatta Mountain Bike Track, designed for adventure and mountain cycling
The diversity enables families, amateurs, and professional cyclists to enjoy different sceneries safely along beachfront, desert, and mountain roads.
Digital Passport with Rewards
The program will feature participants riding with the help of a digital cycling passport, which enables riders to earn virtual stamps after completing each track. All the routes completed provide a stamp to the user that would give him or her a certain sense of consistency and exploration.
The physical passport option is also an option for professional cyclists as well as dedicated participants, with its stamps, symbolic rewards, and high participation levels.

The program will be implemented in stages, and at each stage, a particular track will be mentioned. Other initiatives that will be undertaken by the organizers include organizing group rides, community cycling events, and interactions to create long-term engagement and social interaction.
Cycling As a Way of Life
The city is still extending its dream of an urban lifestyle that is based on fitness through programs such as the Dubai Cycling Pass. Connecting infrastructure, technology, and tourism, the program aims at normalizing cycling as a daily routine and providing a new means of exploring the varied landscapes of Dubai. Dubai is still looking to invest in active lifestyle projects, and the Cycling Pass is another move towards turning movement, exploration, and wellbeing into a part of the urban experience.
