A Festival Rooted in Nature & Community
The mountainous geography of Hatta, the cold climate, and the picturesque landscape are some of the reasons why it is an ideal place to hold winter celebrations. The 2025 Hatta Festival aims to highlight the natural beauty that incorporates culture and community, enabling people to learn and connect.

According to organizers, this will continue to build on the success of last year, when well in excess of 650,000 people attended. The year’s objective is to enhance the knowledge about the tourism potential and cultural heritage at Hatta, as part of the overall objectives of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan.
What’s New in 2025—Family Fun, Activities & Creative Highlights
– Outdoor Adventures & Creative Workshops
- The festival has more than 150 workshops along the lakeside, guided by local artists and craftsmen—painting, crafts, nature-inspired arts, and others.
- For photography fans, a photography workshop organized by Star Photography will see you master the art of shooting at night skies in the clear mountain skies of Hatta.
- There is also the traditional life in the Hatta Farms area for the younger visitors- a playful, interactive history of rural life, traditions, heritage living, and the ancient methods of farming.
– Adventure & Games Zones
- The new Winter Games Zone is filled with fun that would attract kids: human crane adventure, bumper cars, giant skill games, and bungee-like rides.
- Another new Hatta-themed escape room will invite groups of people to solve puzzles based on the local culture and the nature around the location.
- At the front door, there are a couple of oversized retro board games (giant chess, snakes and ladders, checkers, and Connect Four), which create a fun, nostalgic atmosphere.

– Animal Encounters & Family Zones
- First time this year: mini-zoo with ponies, gazelles, goats, rabbits, and parrots—providing children and families with a light and interactive wildlife experience.
- Children’s zones provide creative workshops, educational programs, and games so that young visitors can be entertained and occupied throughout the day.
– Culture, Performances & Night-time Magic
- The Main Stage of the festival, which overlooks Leem Lake, will include more than 100 performances, such as children-friendly shows and even recordings of the local TV network, Sama Dubai TV. Capacity: around 500 people.
- With the fall of night, the bridges on the Leem Lake will be transformed with glowing art installations inspired by the landscape by Hatta – establishing a magic post-sunset atmosphere that blends nature and creativity.
Supporting Local Talent & Homegrown Businesses
Among the unique aspects of the festival this year: solid support of local business and small-scale enterprises in the framework of the project Proudly from Dubai. It will be attended by thirty investors, half of whom are residents of the town of Hatta, with their local products, crafts, food, and desserts.
It is also the Young Entrepreneurs Competition, which is held in collaboration with Dubai SME, an event that features four upcoming entrepreneurs in Hatta. It is an intentional action to facilitate community involvement and sustainable local economic development.
In summary, it is not a mere fun festival but an engine that creates an opportunity to give the locals more power and to bind the locals and the visitors together in significant ways.
