On January 4, 2006, the new Ruler of Dubai was crowned to be Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. However, in marking the 19th anniversary of this undoubtedly historical day, the leader deemed it proper keep the focus away from him and instead celebrate his wife Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum. Furthermore, in a rare emotional message, VVIP of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum said, ‘she is the most beautiful thing in my life, that supports me more than anybody and she is the soul of Dubai’.
A Day of Gratitude and Love
But for Sheikh Mohammed January 4 is more than merely a leadership, it is equal to the values and acquaintances that constitute his life. In Accession Day speech of this year, QM thanked Sheikha Hind describing her as the pillar and the source strength of love for him.
They also include one of the most compassionate, generous, and charitable people that are Sheikha Hind. It is her men and house support and even her encouragement throughout his racing career career, he said with happiness washing his face.
He begged the Lord to “refuel passion into their love life” and wished her all the best. My only dream, Hind, is that God shields you, creates a joyful life for you … You are the start of life and maybe the loveliest part of it. I am the soul power beat and happiness of Dubai.
A Poetic Tribute
As it is understandable that the Sheikh is a great lover of poetry, he also wrote a poetic and heartfelt message to Sheikha Hind.
The Arabic poem translated to, “There is none like you to me.” “Be it to be a goner, a criminal or a no one, you will still be that unique and priceless human.”
“You are my first dream; the letters of your name carry my secret in my heart,” it went on to say how much he loved her and adored her.

A Message of Loyalty
Sheikh Mohammed concluded his tribute with a universal message about loyalty: “Be faithful only with those who deserve your faith … faithfulness to the friend of life … and assistant in this world.”
This poignant sentiment, therefore, captures some of the things that podium of leadership that Mohammed embrace not only in his personal life but also in his leadership philosophy.
A Leader Who Inspires
Sheikh Mohammed appreciates the values of modesty and love of people and close ones in his life. As he gave Sheikha Hind his Accession Day, he has also brought into focus the values of thankfulness, fidelity and affection. While Dubai moves from strength to strength under his stewardship, this is another nice touch from a man who appreciates the relationships that enrich the existence of a human being.
