Calling all foodies and sports fans! Dubai’s culinary scene just got a star-studded upgrade with the opening of TOTÓ, a new Italian restaurant backed by football legend Cristiano Ronaldo, tennis champion Rafael Nadal, and basketball star Pau Gasol.

TOTÓ: A Second Serving of Success

This isn’t the trio’s first foray into the world of restaurants. In June 2024, they launched TATEL, a Spanish eatery with an international twist, in the same prestigious location – Downtown Dubai’s Hotel Boulevard (formerly VIDA Downtown Dubai). Now, TOTÓ takes center stage, offering a taste of Italy with a touch of classic Hollywood glamour.

Inspired by Cinema Paradiso and the Italian Dream

For those unfamiliar with the TOTÓ brand, it debuted in Madrid, Spain in 2021. The Dubai restaurant draws inspiration from the iconic 1988 film “Cinema Paradiso,” paying homage to the golden age of Italian cinema. Expect a menu filled with classic Italian dishes that evoke a sense of nostalgia and indulgence.

Think mouthwatering duck cannelloni, perfectly executed carbonara, and an array of other Italian favorites. Don’t forget to leave room for dessert – TOTÓ is known for its delectable tiramisu and creamy burrata cheesecake paired with honey ice cream.

Live Music and Celebrity Clientele

TOTÓ isn’t just about the food; it’s an experience. Imagine enjoying a glass of fine wine while listening to live music and soaking up the vibrant atmosphere. The restaurant has already gained a reputation in Madrid for attracting celebrities seeking a taste of authentic Italian cuisine and a touch of glamour.

Reservations Now Open – Dubai’s Culinary Adventure Awaits

While TOTÓ officially opened its doors on August 2nd, reservations are now available online starting from Monday, August 5th. Located on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Blvd in Downtown Dubai, TOTÓ is poised to become a new hotspot for those seeking exquisite Italian dishes, impeccable service, and a touch of classic Italian charm.

Beyond TOTÓ: Exploring Dubai’s Culinary Delights

Even if you can’t snag a reservation at TOTÓ right away, Dubai has a plethora of recently opened restaurants waiting to be discovered. From immersive live Japanese dining experiences to brand new artisanal bakeries, the city’s culinary scene is brimming with exciting options for every palate and budget.

A Foodie Destination with a Sporting Twist

The arrival of TOTÓ further solidifies Dubai’s position as a global culinary destination. The combination of a star-studded ownership team, a menu inspired by Italian classics, and a vibrant atmosphere makes it a unique addition to the city’s vibrant restaurant scene. So, whether you’re a die-hard fan of Ronaldo, Nadal, or Gasol, or simply a lover of Italian food, TOTÓ is definitely worth adding to your Dubai dining bucket list.
