T20 World Cup 2026: Full List of Matches, Dates, Venues, Timings and Opening Ceremony Details

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 will be played in India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8. Team India is the current World T20 champion. Like the previous edition, the 10th T20 World Cup will feature 20 teams, and India and Pakistan are once again in the same group.

However, there is no guarantee that they will play each other in the group stage. The Pakistani government has announced that it will boycott the match against defending champions India in the T20 World Cup 2026 on February 15. Fans hope that Pakistan will make a U-turn at the right time.

T20 World Cup 2026 Format

The 20 teams in the T20 World Cup 2026 have been divided into four groups. Each group consists of five teams. The top two teams will qualify for the Super 8 (Super Eight) stage. The eight teams in the Super 8 will be divided into two groups of four.

The top two teams from these groups will qualify for the semi-finals. As per the pre-decided seeding, India and Pakistan cannot face each other in the Super 8. Their next possible meeting after the group stage would possibly be in the semi-finals or the final.

T20 World Cup 2026 Venues

India: Matches will be held across Ahmedabad (Narendra Modi Stadium), Kolkata (Eden Gardens), Delhi (Arun Jaitley Stadium), Mumbai (Wankhede Stadium), and Chennai (MA Chidambaram Stadium).

Sri Lanka: The R. Premadasa Stadium and SSC Cricket Ground in Colombo, as well as the Pallekele Cricket Stadium in Kandy, will host the matches.

T20 World Cup 2026 Opening Ceremony
