Dubai, of the United Arab Emirates, is becoming the largest center of conversion in the world. According to a report, more than 3,600 people have converted to Islam in Dubai in the first six months of 2025. The conversions took place under the supervision and direction of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Islamic Cultural Centre, which falls under the city’s Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities (IACAD). These converts to Islam are said to be followers of various religions.

According to the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Islamic Culture, more than 3,600 people have converted to Islam in Dubai in the first half of 2025. This increase in conversion is due to government efforts to promote Islamic culture and provide educational programs for new converts and those interested in learning about Islam. Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Islamic Culture registered over 1,300 students in its educational programmes, which are designed to provide structured lessons on Islamic beliefs.
The Cultural Centre Promotes Islamic Education
Along with the conversions, the cultural centre has also enrolled more than 1,300 students in its educational programmes. These students will pursue various courses based on Islamic beliefs and practices. The Mohammed Bin Rashid Islamic Cultural Centre has also organised 47 educational and awareness courses, which were attended by more than 1,400 participants. These courses were part of IACAD’s main efforts to promote Islamic culture and raise religious awareness in the region.

Dubai Offers Support to Converts to Islam
The Dubai-based cultural centre aims to promote cultural and religious diversity and present a positive image of Islam based on tolerance, knowledge, and dialogue. The centre provides resources and guidance to help new converts adapt and integrate into the community. According to the UAE government, individuals wishing to convert to Islam in Dubai can do so by following procedures laid down by the Ministry of Justice and other local authorities.

A certificate is issued after conversion to Islam
The declaration of conversion to Islam can be made through the Ministry of Justice, the Judicial Department, or the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities (IACAD). IACAD also issues a certificate of conversion to Islam after the declaration.
