Management of Bilateral Relations Due to CEPA
Satish Kumar Sivan gave information about how bilateral relations between India and UAE were strengthened by signing CEPA (Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement). The main objective of CEPA, signed in 2022, is to increase non-oil trade to $100 billion by 2030. Although both the countries have benefited from the agreement, its results are surprising. Before CEPA was signed, bilateral trade would have been $70 billion in 2021-22, which will reach $85 billion by 2023-24. After this agreement, an increase of 16 percent has been seen.
