As excitement builds up with only a few hours left before the start of Dubai’s Global Village Season 29, residents and tourists prepare themselves for a new season with many attractions, activities and of course, food to taste. Starting its operations from October 16, Global Village has revealed some fascinating information regarding this year’s tickets price, timings and much more.
Ticket Prices
This season, Global Village has hiked its ticket prices just a little and for now the tickets which are valid during weekdays are being sold at Dh25 while those with any-day validity go for Dh30. Tickets can be bought online from the official Global Village website, mobile application and they will also be available at the entrance of the park once it is opened.
- Weekday tickets (Sunday to Thursday, excluding public holidays) are Dh25.
- Any-day tickets are Dh30.
- Children aged 3 and below, seniors over 65, and people of determination can enter for free.
For those looking for an exclusive experience, VIP ticket packages are already on sale and offer added perks like annual passes to Dubai Parks and Resorts.
- Mega Gold Pack: Dh4,745 (includes Global Village Gold VIP pack and Dubai Parks and Resorts Ultimate Platinum Plus Annual Pass).
- Mega Silver Pack: Dh3,245 (includes Silver VIP pack and Dubai Parks and Resorts Ultimate Platinum Annual Pass).
Classic VIP packs are also back, ranging from Dh1,750 to Dh7,350.
Timings
The first day of Global Village will be on October 16, 2015 with a opening time at 6 p.m. In the first day it will be open until 12 p.m. After opening day, the regular hours are as follows:
- Sunday to Wednesday: 4 p.m. to 12 a.m.
- Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and public holidays: 4 p.m. to 1 a.m.
New Attractions and Experiences
If the past years were full of innovations and changes, then this year looks even more intense and saturated with intriguing ideas. Guests will be able to look forward to an amazing beginning with a grand opening ceremony to usher in the season and another series of new additions at the park.
Season 29 is full of new innovations and improvements in the Park’s attractions. New additions to be added to the Railway Market, Floating Market and Fiesta Street with features such as the green zone and combined terrace seating for family and friends to rest in between shopping.
Restaurant Plaza, which is adjacent to the Carnaval funfair site, is set to open with more than 250 global outlets, including a rich variety of restaurants. Food freaks can also take a look at the new venue of Dragon Lake, the kiosks in the double-story street named the Fiesta Street, new look alike Railway and Floating Markets.
More than 200 attractions for the lovers of an active pursuit include space-themed attractions and thrill rides for scary moments. The new stunt show will enhance entertainment and attract crowds; the show being planned is among 40, 000 entertainment shows at different stages Main stage show, theatre for kids and rest at streets of Global village.
New additions include:
- Expanded Railway Market and Floating Market for food lovers.
- The brand-new Restaurant Plaza, offering more than 250 global cuisines.
- Three new cultural pavilions, bringing the total number of pavilions to 30.
- Over 3,500 shopping outlets, showcasing unique products from around the world.
Visitors with families and friends can sit comfortably on additional green promenades while the exciting fans will have over 200 rides and games including new space investigations and extreme fear activities.
