Dubai Opera: The curtains are about to close on another spectacular season at the Dubai Opera, but not before a standing ovation! This year, the iconic venue achieved a record-breaking feat, welcoming a staggering 250,000 visitors – the highest number since its grand opening in 2016.

Dubai Opera: A Season Packed with Variety and Firsts
The 2023-2024 season offered a diverse program, featuring over 100 productions and a whopping 200 performances. From the whimsical charm of Matilda to the grandeur of the UAE premiere of the Orchestra of Teatro alla Scala and Rome Opera Ballet, there was truly something for everyone.
One production stole the hearts (and voices) of over 30,000 attendees: the return of the timeless classic, The Phantom of the Opera. This beloved musical not only delivered a captivating performance but also made history by featuring the first-ever Arab lead in the iconic role of the Phantom.
Beyond the Stage: Enhancing the Experience
Opera’s dedication to excellence extends beyond the stage. Last year’s upgrade to a state-of-the-art sound system undoubtedly contributed to the audience’s immersive experience. Additionally, the venue introduced exciting new initiatives, including Film Music Week, which celebrated the power of music in cinema.
Furthermore, Dubai Opera partnered with Steinway & Sons to create a prestigious limited-edition piano, the Dubai Opera Edition Piano by Steinway & Sons, a beautiful tribute to the seven emirates.
A Grand Finale and a Look Ahead
The season isn’t quite over yet! Before the curtain falls, there are two final opportunities to experience the magic of the Dubai Opera. On June 7th, renowned Iranian vocalist Alireza Ghorbani will grace the stage with his captivating voice.
The season comes to a delightful close with the Al Jar Arabic Comedy Play, running from June 21st to 22nd. This heartwarming production tells the story of two neighbors and their hilarious adventures.
