In the early 2000s, Rimi Sen became a household name thanks to her commercials with Aamir Khan and her frequent appearances in films like Hungama, Dhoom, Golmaal, Phir Hera Pheri, and Johnny Gaddaar. Like many other actors in the Hindi film industry, Rimi’s screen presence gradually diminished. Eventually, she withdrew from the limelight. After transitioning to a career in the real estate business in Dubai, she is back in the spotlight. In a recent interview, Rimi Sen spoke about how welcoming Dubai has been to her and how she carved a niche for herself in the challenging real estate industry.
From appearing in Coca-Cola commercials with Aamir Khan to sharing the screen with Salman Khan, Rimi was one of the most recognizable faces of her time, and it seemed she could do no wrong. However, as the decade drew to a close, her presence on screen began to diminish. Film appearances became fewer, and eventually, she stepped away from the limelight altogether. Today, Rimi has taken a decisive turn in her professional life, fully transitioning away from acting and becoming actively involved in the real estate space in Dubai. Rimi Sen is now a real estate agent in Dubai.

Speaking about this change, Rimi explained how good Dubai has been not only for her, but for people around the world, including those in the film industry. Speaking with BuildCaps Real Estate LLC, he said, “Dubai is very welcoming, which is why 95% of the population is expatriate, while the rest are Emiratis. Dubai has warmly welcomed everyone with mosques and temples. They think about everyone, and the city’s primary focus is on making people’s lives better, easier, and more comfortable. This is something we don’t really see in our country, as the government changes policies overnight, making life even more difficult.”
Further talking about why the real estate market works well in Dubai, Rimi said, “The real estate market here runs smoothly because there’s discipline. You only have to work with agents and agencies. Developers do their job, agencies do their job, and there’s a well-established system.” She also explained that there’s a huge difference in people’s perception of property agents, saying that in Dubai they are treated like financial consultants, while in India the perception is very different: “In India, if you ask for two months’ brokerage, people look at you as if you’ve committed a crime.”
Rimi Sen on Plastic Surgery
Almost two years ago, Rimi was back in the spotlight when photos of her resurfaced on social media, leading to speculation that she had “undergone plastic surgery” and was now “unrecognizable.” Addressing these rumors in an interview, she clarified, “If people think I’ve had plastic surgery, and if they think it’s in a good way, that’s great. Even without plastic surgery, people are talking. I’ve only had fillers, Botox, and PRP treatments, nothing else.”
She also shared that she is open to getting a cosmetic procedure done later in life, saying, “One shouldn’t need to get plastic surgery done unless someone is on the run after committing a crime! There are so many excellent doctors outside India who are very good at facelifts. I, too, want to get it done, but I will think about it after I cross the age of 50. For now, these treatments are sufficient.”

Responding to those who criticized her appearance, Rimi said, “Maybe people saw my latest photos and thought my skin looked good. Anyone can look good by using these treatments and maintaining discipline. But if you think what I’ve done is bad, tell me how I can fix it so I can tell my doctors where they’re going wrong.” Rimi Sen has worked on films such as ‘Dhoom’ and Priyadarshan’s comedy ‘Phir Hera Pheri.’ Rimi’s last film was Tigmanshu Dhulia’s action film Shagird in 2011.
