From Rugby Legends to Stage Icons, Emirates Dubai 7s Set to Dazzle Dubai

Emirates Dubai 7s comes back with that much more eagerness, signifying the first time that rugby’s best will compete in the first cycle of the 2025 HSBC SVNS, following the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The Sevens Stadium Yas Island will provide fans some exciting and entertaining matches for fans starting with the family weekend on 29 November 2024.

An Unmissable Rugby Showdown

With pools and schedules declared, 12 teams of the most popular men and women’s rugby seven teams will gather in Dubai, having just taken part in the most-watched Olympic season with over 530 thousand spectators. The games will take place on Saturday, 30th November and Sunday, 1st December with all games will be held at Pitch 1 and Pitch 2.

  • Women’s Tournament Highlights: The matches for day 1 include Olympic champions New Zealand against Brazil at 9 am, and silver medalists Canada against Japan on Pitch 1 at the same time. The morning session also includes major matches including USA versus Great Britain at 9:22 am, followed by Ireland vs Fiji match at 9:44 am and Australia will take on HSBC SVNS newcomers China at 9.44 am. Later in the day, fans can catch a thrilling Olympic final rematch between New Zealand and Canada at 4:07 pm. Followed up by France taking on Olympic bronze medalists USA at 4:51 pm and the last match of the day features between Australia and Ireland at 5:35 pm.
  • Men’s Tournament Highlights: Men’s competition kicked off by All Blacks taking on USA at 10:06 am and the much awaited match between Argentina and Uruguay to be played at 10:28 am. Followed by another thrilling encounter, where South Africa will take on Australia at 10:50 am. Closing the pool stage on Day 1, Fiji takes on the All Blacks, followed by Argentina facing Ireland and finally, Olympic champions France go head-to-head with South Africa at 8:44 pm.

Music to Match the Magic on the Field

Complementing the world-class rugby lineup, Sugababes will take the “Rugby Rocks” stage on Saturday night with their noughties classics, while Stormzy is set to close the event on Sunday with a headline performance at 21:30 on the ‘Frequency on 8’ stage. It is fun and games rolled in one to provide fans with an up close festival feel of sports and music.

Finals, Music, and Family-Friendly Activities

The Emirates Dubai 7s has entertainment for the young especially the children and adolescents. The public is welcome to attend the free event ‘Family Friday’ on November 29, where families could spend quality time. Fans who wish to get the best vantage point of Pitch 1 may book for the South Grandstand having options of standard reserved seating as well as premium reserved seating.

The rugby fans can purchase VIP tickets to the new Sunroom feature, inclusive of two days access into the structure with complimentary food and drinks; and an unobstructed view of Pitch 1. The triennial event will also see 16 rugby tournaments, 6 netball events, 2 cricket events, and 3 fitness events alongside the two Emirates Dubai 7s rugby sevens premierships – with almost 6500 athletes set to take part in the three-day event. There is also an opportunity for the specters to witness and even participate in organizer’s masterclasses with ambassadors of Emirates Dubai 7s boosting an interactive character of the festival.

Ticket Information and Schedule

There’s reserved seating in the South Grandstand with a day pass costing AED 425 and a two-day pass at AED 550. The Family Day on Friday allows entry for everyone free of charge, and children under four years are free throughout the weekend.
