Dubai witnessed another heartwarming moment that can be typified as a reflection of humility and generosity on the part of its royal family. The Crown Prince, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, or commonly referred to as Fazza, caught the entire dining crowd in La Maison Ani restaurant in Dubai Mall off guard as he quietly paid everyone a diner bill which left the entire diner crowd in awe.
The visitors interrupted the situation during their lunch break, and one of them filmed a video that was then posted on the popular local media platform Lovin Dubai. As a young woman remembered in the video, she could hardly believe her eyes when she understood that Sheikh Hamdan did not only eat in the same restaurant but even kindly covered expenses of all people who were there.
A Royal Gesture Worth Dh25,000–Dh30,000
As it was reported, Fazza since paid the whole bill of the diners present during his visit which was estimated to be AED 25 000-30 000. The gesture was of the Crown Prince who did not act big since he kept to his simple self. One of the diners commented, they were very outgoing and greeted everyone. Nobody ever thought it. Then we were told that he paid everyone’s bill – it was unrealistic!
The action of the Crown Prince has elicited the several outpourings of admiration and hyping on social media since fans out there are already naming him a royal with a golden heart. Some of the users were also able to tell their personal experiences with Sheikh Hamdan, as those stories were filled with the same examples of acts of charity and his welcoming character.

And this is not the first time when Sheikh Hamdan stole the hearts of the people. Frequently referred to as the King of Instagram, Fazza not only has a talent to lead and serve the state as the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense in the UAE, he is also an adventurous person passionate about animals and poetry.

Fazza has done a lot of things going beyond his royal work. He is the deputy prime minister and the minister of defense in the UAE. He is also a good poet, who writes under the name Fazza and a fanatic sportsman who enjoys sports like horse racing, cycling, skydiving, diving, and zip-lining.
In the tradition of excellence and leadership, Sheikh Hamdan assumed the position of the Crown Prince in the year 2008 when his father, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, was appointed Crown Prince. His older brother, Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed died in 2015, after heart attack at the age of 33.
A Crown Prince Close to the People
What has endeared Fazza to people especially is his proximity to the people. This comes in the form of the royal always visiting hospitals, traveling through the Dubai Metro among citizens, surprising dinners in a mall, and any other way he can, the royal has been eradicating the stereotypical royal and finding ways to bond with ordinary individuals.
The restaurant episode had the social media sprouting admiringly. According to one of the users, she said, she arrived in Dubai four years back and her sole desire was to meet Sheikh Hamdan. This tale is only evidence of why he is the most loved royal. Other people referred to it as an act of pure class and an instance of expressing genuine Emirati generosity.

Not only did Sheikh Hamdan prove his leadership skills since his name was announced Crown Prince in 2008 by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Although he was nominated as Crown Prince, despite being the second born son- after the late Sheikh Rashid bin Maktoum, Fazza has not only justified his position but won much respect within the UAE and abroad.
Long before the current royal fusion trends, Sheikh Hamdan has been and continues to be the embodiment of the contemporary Emirati ideals: passionate about humanitarian causes; supportive of wellness and adventure in Dubai; generous and down-to-earth. A single luncheon. There was one memorable action. And just like that, Fazza has once again demonstrated why he is indeed the people prince.
