Adnan Sami Dubai Concert Postponed: The much-awaited live performance by the singer Adnan Sami that was supposed to take place at the Coca-Cola arena on June 29 has been postponed, as it has been revealed in an official post by a ticketing platform PlatinumList. Although no new date has been set yet regarding the Dubai concert, the organizers have assured the fans that a new one will be announced shortly.

The event was a show by PME Entertainment which had caused a massive hype among fans who had been dying to see the renowned singer-composer in action on the stage. PlatinumList clarified that purchasers of tickets will receive a full refund within a timeframe of 21 working days, and payments will be reimbursed to their original payment modes they used to purchase the ticket.
World Music Day Coincidence
The postponement comes at a time when the global music community is celebrating World Music Day, which adds an ironic twist to this delay. Interestingly, Sami made headlines this week with his candid views on the evolving nature of music, technology and creativity in a recent interview with Gulf News. “Auto-Tune is like makeup,” Sami explained. “If we accept stuntmen in films and VFX on screen, why not use the technology to polish up vocal tracks? It’s not cheating – it’s enhancing.”
Dubai is a Source of Inspiration, Says Adnan Sami
As the UAE has been his home and a place of residence in the last several years, Adnan Sami has often applauded the city of Dubai as one of the creative and cultural magnets. Dubai accepts everybody. Be it a South Asian or a European or that of an Arab, the city will make you feel your home. Energy, diversity of the crowd, it inspires me each and every time I perform here,” he said.

A Lifetime of Learning
Adnan Sami, who has gained universal popularity with his classic numbers such as Lift Kara De, Mehbooba, Dil Kya Kare and Tera Chehra, said he continues to innovate in his musical style even in the age of algorithm-driven trends.
“I feel like I am still a student. There is so much to know. And, by the way, sadly enough that appetite has increased over the years,” he added. “When you are young you believe you will have forever. But now I am really impatient to create.”
He also shared how unpredictability is part of the magic of music: “Some of my songs that I underestimated became iconic and were loved by audiences. You never know which track will connect. You just follow your instincts and hope it resonates.”
Update Regarding the Concert Date is Coming Soon
Even though one can be disappointed at the delay, what Sami includes in his fervent musings is a timely reminder of why his music still resonates with millions of people. And to those who are still not satisfied with the use of technology in music, Sami delivered the following closing advice:

When anybody who has no talent whatsoever exclusively goes on auto-tune then that is an issue. However, when you use it to polish a performance, then that is like putting make-up. It is its presentation, not its cheating.” Stay tuned to know about the new date of the Adnan Sami concert in Dubai.
