Dubai has officially secured its place as the host city and will now officially host the 5th Asian Youth Para Games after the signing of a major agreement by the Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) and the Local Organising Committee (LOC). At the APC headquarters in Dubai, His Excellency Majid Al Usaimi, President of the APC and His Excellency Thani Juma Berregad, Chairman of the Dubai Club for People of Determination, signed the Host City Contract.

Games Scheduled for December 2025
From 7 to 14 December 2025, the 5th Asian Youth Para Games will be held under the direction of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council. Many young athletes from across Asia are set to take part in 11 para sports during the Games.
Dubai hosted the Asian Youth Para Games in 2017 and now they will be the first city to host for a second time in 2025. First, the Games were scheduled for Tashkent in Uzbekistan in October 2025, but at the last moment, the Tashkent capital canceled and Dubai took over.
Commitment to Inclusion and Sporting Excellence
While speaking at the ceremony, HE Majid Al Usaimi mentioned his thanks to UAE’s leaders for not missing a year of the Games and warned the importance of providing support to future para-athletes.
Al Usaimi added that our young athletes are crucial to the Asian continent and the entire world. “One of our important roles at the Asian Paralympic Committee is making sure our work is sustainable and we can give people of determination the top services they deserve.”
He explained that the APC will support athletes from the start of their careers by taking part in region tournaments, offering training for staff and giving coaches and classifiers the support they need.
